FRIDAY NIGHT

Meagan Tubb and Shady People

MEAGAN TUBB & SHADY PEOPLE (Concert Headliner) Americana, Southern Rock & Blues From Austin, Texas
Somewhere up there your favorite long-gone artist is creating music the likes of which our mortal ears cannot comprehend. We pay homage to these souls of a bygone era with a seance of classic rock, blues, soul, Americana, and funk written from the perspective of inanimate objects of nature and creatures apart from ourselves. In the past 5 years the band managed to win a battle of the bands competition, open for Willie Nelson (twice), get 2 guitar sponsorships from both Dean and Luna Guitars and their song, "Let Me Believe" won an Independent Music Award for Best Song in the Blues category.  Their Feb 2011 release “Cast Your Shadow” produced by Stephen Doster has received rave reviews and regular airplay within Austin, Colorado, Arizona and beyond. Their song "An Argument with the Moon" was chosen for the soundtrack of the independent film "Distances" which premiers at the 2012 SXSW film festival. With bluesy-rock vocals, dual lead guitars, slide guitars, 3 part harmonies, and a drum and bass dynamic duo rumored to be one of the most sought-after in Austin, Meagan Tubb & Shady People knock the wind out of you as you just realized you were still breathing.

Stray Grass
Stray Grass specializes in a high-energy interpretation of acoustic music. Although played on traditional instruments, the musical stylings of Stray Grass are anything but traditional. Inspired by artists as diverse as Bill Monroe, Tim O’Brien, Peter Rowan, Dave Matthews, New Grass Revival, Bob Dylan and Crosby, Stills and Nash, their music has been categorized as “Americana with a New Acoustic Flair”. Whatever you call it, but also call it fun, Stray Grass enthusiasm and love of great acoustic music shows in all their performances.

FLAT TOP REED - SATURDAY NIGHT HEADLINER!
The heart of Flat Top Reed is the acoustic duo of Paul Harshman and John Anglim, two musicians who have played professionally with bands of virtually every description. Their separate musical paths stretch back decades, touching blues, folk, rock, country and rockabilly. Their new CD, "Junction", has garnered critical acclaim and an ever-wider following. The band has also been the subject of a feature story by noted music writer and historian Rebecca Davis. Over the course of their separate musical journeys, Paul and John have played practically every kind of contemporary music and shared the stage with acts like the Subdudes, The Dixie Chicks, Lu Anne Barton, Trout Fishing in America just to name a few.
