Palisade’s agricultural businesses offer a great opportunity to learn firsthand how fruit, wine and farm products are grown from the ground up, then prepared and sent to market. Each tour provides a unique experience. Ride a horse-drawn wagon, a "hoopie" or a motorcart; see orchards and packing shed operations. Walk in beauty exploring farms growing lavender, hops and vineyards brimming with an assortment of winegrapes. See alpacas, fruit products in the making, and fruit stands.
Palisade has the state’s greatest concentration of orchards and wineries. Indoor tours of wineries, distilleries and brewery operations capture the craftsmanship of beverage-making. Try brandies and wines made from local fruit, and whiskey made from local corn! In addition, learn about lavender uses, milling alpaca wool, or packing ripe peaches.
